COVENANT TO CARE SOCIAL WORKER

We participate in the Covenant to Care Adopt-a-Social- Worker program whereby we are linked to a social worker with the Connecticut Department of Children and Families. Through this program, we are able to impact the lives of children in foster care through a number of special projects recommended by our social worker. These include: birthday bags, school backpacks, emergency foster care supply bags, summer enrichment kits, Thanksgiving dinners, and Christmas gifts/stockings. When there are special needs, our social worker knows that she can contact us to respond.

ST. VINCENT'S SCHOOL FOR HANDICAPPED CHILDREN
PORT-AU-PRINCE, HAITI

We support The Friends of St. Vincent’s School, which coordinates donations to St. Vincent School for Handicapped Children, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  Our yearly Lenten fund drive helps purchase vitamins, medical supplies and vaccinations for the children of the school, who would otherwise not receive them.

MIDDLETOWN REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT COALITION

We are a member of the Middletown Refugee Resettlement Coalition, which works with IRIS (Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services) in New Haven. Thus far, we have enabled two families to begin new lives in Middletown. There are multiple opportunities to become involved with this program.

EAST HAMPTON FOOD BANK

Non-perishable food donations are collected from parishioners and delivered to the East Hampton Food Bank each week. Stop and Shop Gift cards are also provided to the Food Bank at Christmas for distribution to clients in need. If there are specific needs from the Food Bank, for example for Meal on Wheels, we will respond accordingly.
